Ocean Tumblers with shells

PROCESS:

These tumblers were thrown on the wheel using speckled clay.   The shells (gathered from a trip to the cape) were first made into mold.  Then each shell was individually pressed into the mold with clay and then placed individually on the tumblers. 

Once dry enough, it was trimmed at the bottom. After it was bone dry, it was bisque fired, then glazed, and fired again to this finished product.
