Butterfly Spoonrest Sgraffito

Each piece is thrown on the wheel and then altered and trimmed.

Once the spoonrest is leatherhard, it is covered in black underglaze and then the design is carved using a technique called sgraffito.

Fired, then glazed over in a clear glaze, fired again for the final result.

These are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
