This serving bowl was made on the potters wheel using speckled stoneware clay. Once it was leather-hard, it was trimmed and the dragonflies were planned and intricately pierced and meticulously refined so there are no sharp edges. Then, the rest of the bowl was hand-carved. It was bisque-fired and then glazed in light blue color. It was fired once more to this finished product.

This bowl is made with lead-free glazes that are food, dishwasher and microwave safe, although handwashing is always recommended.
